Building Operator Training

Strengthen Your Team: Building Operator Training Overview

The Building Operator Training Pathway equips your facility staff with the practical skills to run buildings more efficiently and reliably. Through the nationally recognized Building Operator Certification (BOC), participants gain hands-on training in HVAC, lighting, controls, energy benchmarking, and operational best practices. Courses are offered locally through Pennsylvania College of Technology, making it convenient for your team to learn from industry experts while applying new skills directly to your facilities.

BOC training is not just a skills investment for your team, but a smart financial and operational choice for your organization.

  • $1,000 registration discount for approved participants
  • Up to 50% training reimbursement upon successful course completion
  • Average of $20,000 in energy cost savings each year for participating facilities*
  • Average of 150,000 kWh in energy savings each year for participating facilities*

*Based on estimated savings of 150,000 – 200,000 kWh per year at an average electricity cost of $0.12/kWh, calculated in accordance with the PY5 Version of the NJ TRM
